In 1989 he accepted a position with KHKR in Helena doing sales, production, an air shift and play by play. In 1994 he met and married Sara and together they raised four children and two cats in Helena. In his spare time he enjoys Carroll Football games, bowling, and waiting ‘til next year with all the other Viking fans.
Stewart Davis
Stewart, a North Carolina native, began his radio career in 2011, moving to Montana in 2015.
Growing up in Hamlet, NC, Stewart graduated from Richmond Sr. High School and has a degree in Political Science from St. Andrews University in Laurinburg, NC, where he played soccer for the Knights.
A passion for sports and a gift of gab led Stewart to attend the Connecticut School of Broadcasting in Charlotte, NC to pursue a career in broadcast radio. After stops at ESPN Radio affiliates in Charlotte and Myrtle Beach, SC, he made his way West to the Treasure State working in Havre, MT covering news, as well as the Havre Blue Ponies and MSU Northern Lights on KOJM AM and KPQX FM.
He moved to Helena in 2018 to be a news reporter and sportscaster for KCAP, where he has been the play-by-play voice of the Capital High Bruins and Carroll College Football. In 2021 Stewart became the News and Sports Director for KCAP.
In his spare time Stewart enjoys working out, going to concerts, and hiking Montana's beautiful trails.
