It was a Capital City Sweep on Friday, with both local teams taking football wins.
Helena High used big plays to take a 20-6 road win at Kalispell Glacier, while Capital routed Missoula Big Sky 44-7 on Senior Night at Vigilante Stadium.
For the Bengals, the win righted the ship after a disappointing loss last week to Flathead. Helena allowed just two first-half field goals to the Wolfpack while Logan Brown caught one touchdown pass and ran in for another.
The defense also turned in big plays, with interceptions by Hayden Ferguson, Forrest Suero, KeyShawn Newby – who ran the pick back for a touchdown – and a fourth by Connor Rigsby to seal the win in the fourth quarter.
Capital, meanwhile, scored just minutes into the contest and never looked back.
The game was actually close through the first 18 minutes or so, but then the Bruins blew it open in the final stages of the first half with a short Noah Braden touchdown run and an Anthony Guccione pick-six.
