HELENA (AP) — Two more people are entering the Democratic primary for the U.S. Senate Seat held by Republican Steve Daines.
Cora Neumann of Bozeman announced her candidacy Tuesday saying her priorities are access to quality health care, increasing wages, repealing the 2017 federal tax changes and protecting public lands.
Neumann has a doctorate in public health and founded the Global First Ladies Alliance, an organization that helps First Ladies around the world to advocate for improving access to health care, promoting economic development and education.
Michael Knoles of Bozeman has filed with the Federal Election Commission, but said Tuesday he is still looking for a campaign manager and plans to announce his candidacy later.
Other Democratic candidates are Helena Mayor Wilmot Collins and John Mues of Loma, a Navy veteran and engineer.
