Get ready for some of the hottest temperatures of the year in the northwestern part of the state, including Helena.
The National Weather Service has issued a heat advisory, starting tomorrow night and running through late Friday.
Forecasters expect high temperatures on Friday to jump into the triple digits in many areas of the state and up to 90 at high elevations in the area.
Forecasters say, though, if the smoke from wildfires thickens up, temperatures may not hit the century mark.
And with the scorching temperatures comes increased safety measures when it comes to fire restrictions.
Stage Two fire restrictions go into effect for most of the western part of the state starting tomorrow.
Officials made the decision to increase the restrictions after continued hot, dry weather forced the fire danger to extreme.
Stage Two restrictions include no smoking outdoors and no outdoor burning of any kind on private or public land except in approved campfire areas.
