The student who was seen holding a gun on a social media video is back at Capital High School. A threat assessment committee formed by the district found there was no danger to the school based on the video.
The unnamed student had posted a Snapchat video with a firearm wondering if just owning it made him threatening. Shortly after, he was pulled from class and questioned by law enforcement officials, who then said they didn’t believe he posed any threat to any individual or the school.
District officials say extra focus was placed on the video because it was posted after the mass shooting at a Florida high school.
