UPDATE: Missing 16-year-old boy found

UPDATE: A 16-year-old reported missing from Helena on Tuesday is safe.

Police in Missoula say they located Cody James early yesterday morning after the teen had sent “good-bye” texts to friends.

The teen was the subject of a Missing Endangered Person Advisory issued on Tuesday, and authorities believed he and two other boys were headed to Seattle.

Police did not say where in Missoula they located James.


 

The Helena Police Department is requesting assistance in locating a missing 16 year old.

Cody Lane James is 5-foot-7, 145 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. He is driving a white 1995 Pontiac Grand Prix, with Montana license plate 5 16688B.

The car has three black rims and one chrome rim. He is possibly with two other juvenile males and may be heading west to the Seattle area.

A missing endangered person advisory has been issued for James. He has been sending goodbye text messages to friends, and there is a concern about his safety.
