Highway Patrol adds six new troopers

The Montana Highway Patrol commissioned six new troopers yesterday at the 64th Advanced Academy Graduation ceremony – including one from Helena.

Attorney General Tim Fox addressed the graduates at the event, reminding them of the Patrol’s 83-year history and the important role it continues to play in keeping the public safe.

Members of the 64th academy class are Helena’s Tyler Heller, Hamilton’s Andrew Barbera, Polson’s Julian Gallegos, Casey Graff from Troy, Lane Knows His Gun from Colstrip, and Martin Corona of San Jose, California.

And the Highway Patrol is accepting applications for 10 open Trooper positions in a matter of days.

Interested individuals should visit MHP’s website for further details and application instructions at dojmt.gov/highwaypatrol.
