Great Falls teacher resigns after accusations of inappropriate relationship

A high school teacher in Great Falls has resigned after being accused of having an inappropriate relationship with a 17-year-old student.

Superintendent Tammy Lacey said at a press conference that district officials are “shocked and mortified” by the behavior of the teacher, who has been identified as Levi Johnson.

The school district learned of the allegations on Jan. 26. Johnson submitted a letter of resignation, which was accepted immediately.
