Glacier sets attendance record

Glacier National Park says more than 195,000 people visited in May, a record for the month. The previous record for May was just under 184,000, set in 2016.

Glacier’s increasing popularity is crowding its roads and parking lots, though, and Park Superintendent Jeff Mow has warned visitors to be prepared.

The park’s busiest month ever was July 2017, when more than 1 million people visited.
