Good news for the Dearborn High River Bridge: It can be repaired and will remain standing.
County and state crews are hoping to get the bridge open again this week, but that will depend on the weather cooperating.
The 120-year-old bridge was damaged earlier this month when a truck weighing an estimated 35 tons drove over it. The posted weight limit is 7 tons.
The bridge, in a canyon just southwest of Augusta, serves predominantly farmers and ranchers in the area, and while closed adds more than 40 miles of travel to take an alternate route.
