A baby is in good condition after being left in the woods near Lolo Hot Springs for nine hours.
Investigators were first called to the scene late Saturday after 911 callers reported that Francis Crowley had been threatening people.
Crowley was arrested and search and rescue crews found the five-month-old in Crowley’s care, face-down and underneath some sticks and brush in the forest after hours of searching.
The infant is recovering but was in good condition at the hospital at last check. For now, Crowley is facing a criminal endangerment charge but prosecutors expect to file additional counts.
