Christmas tree bound for D.C. on Montana tour

The Christmas tree for the United States Capitol is on its way there from the northwestern part of our state.

The Engelmann Spruce will stop in Eureka today, then Missoula on Wednesday followed by stops in Helena and also Great Falls on Thursday.

The tree from the Kootenai National Forest will be lit at the nation’s capital on Dec. 6.
